Giotto
Old-world craftsmanship and materials come together in each and every Giotto instrument. Hand crafted in a traditional workshop in Romania from beautiful Carpathian spruce and maple grown in the same Transylvanian forests that violin masters have used for centuries. All are finished using a traditional antique oil varnish.
Prized for their ringing tone and even grain structure, Carpathian tonewoods are regarded as among the best in the world for bowed instrument manufacturing. Logs are harvested in early winter and are thereafter carefully sectioned and quartered. They are then stored in open-sided sheds to air dry for years before use. After proper seasoning, these tonewoods are crafted into instruments.
Giotto bowed instruments have the look & feel of an antique for a price that all can afford.
